These were designs for new Packard Models, not the rebadged Studebakers that ended up getting produced. Not sure if these were ever published anywhere, but if not you can now enjoy them on the website.Also most of the pictures from the PI swapmeet have been uploaded for everyone to enjoy. 'Packard Model Info' out on the WebsiteThis section of the website allows you to pull up detailed model info. Eventually we will have all the years online. Currently only the 1946-1956 years are ready for debut.After selecting either a year or a series, you will get a model listing with a thumbnail picuture view. Clicking on that thumbnail will pop-up a detailed information windows giving you all the specs, on that model as well as running trim and body changes. Please read the information on the that first page and it will go into greater detail.We are currently looking for people that wish to help with the pre-war years (1899-1942). If you can help please let me know.I hope everyone enjoys this feature. This have been in development for a couple of months and 100s of hours of research went into it. Special thanks to Brian (BH), John (Packard53), and Dave (Clipper47) for huge amount of support, and research they did to bring this all together. At the bottom of the page there are navigation options to go to the next page. There are 6 pages are together. The 'more' option on the preview screeen simply shows you more articles. Guest BigKev Posted February 6, 2008 Share Posted February 6, 2008 There are probably about 30+ Pre-War pieces out there right now. We are working on tying to find more for the website all the time. Obviously it doesnt compare to the 100s of Post-War pieces the website has collected. But the older the pieces are, the harder they are to find. Also the Picture archive has some great Pre-War cars listed in it. As well as the wonderful cars that have been added to the Packard Owners Registry (Online Roster) from all over the world.I am acutally in the middle of working on the Model Info pages for the Pre-War years as we speak. We got alot of great feedback and praise on the Post-War years, so hopefully the same rings true for the Pre-War years. I put the draft of the 1899-1910 model pages up last week. I hope to add a few years at a time as I can do the research. If anyone has any original Pre-War (or anything Packard Related) materials that they are willing to scan and donate to the website, it would be welcome with open arms.Everything we collect and get up on the website helps your fellow Packards owner out there, and the future Packard owners to be.The mission statement for the website is to try to digitize as much of the paper content produced by Packard as possible before that paper is lost to the ages. The website is completely free, and I pay for most it out of my pocket with the help of a few folks that have donated cash to help offset the web hosting cost. It has been nice to see over the last two years how many people have stepped forward to help out with donating content, doing research for the website, and also assisting people in the forums with their questions and problems.
