122838B Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I have been doing a little background work into prices for aftermarket wheels that might interest Reatta owners. Many of the wheels, from salvage yards, go for under $100 if aluminum. Some really desirable wheels are much harder to find. However, one of the local chop shops with internet connections is offering 16-inch chrome 93-94 Riveria touring wheels in supposedly pristine condition for $140 each. This seems an outrageous amount until you check out prices for new wheels. I am thinking if I can get these vintage wheels at $110 or less, I should go ahead and take the fleecing. I have not run across their like anywhere else. Am I crazy or what? Please let me know, I am about to take the plunge.
Barney Eaton Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Make certain you get the hub caps with the wheels or you will be paying a lot more for the conversion.
ALF1 Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Go to eBay and search for Cadillac chrome wheels. The late '90s-early '00s fit (16", 5 lug x 115mm). I've bought a half-dozen sets of take-offs (new or near-new) and never paid more than $350/set plus shipping.-- ALF
122838B Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 AlfThanks a bunch. I will take your suggestion. The local chop shop will not go below $600 for a set of Riveria chromes.

Still got a ton of Reatta stuff, including a new black front plate and a mint grey/red/blue front plate, as well as a factory rebuilt '90-'91 stereo unit, craftsman log, etc. I'll be posting an info topic shortly about a '90 convertible that belongs to a local woman. Mileage under 100K; she'll take $4,000. -- ALF
Guest F14CRAZY Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 I'd like some Mustang Cobra chrome 5 spokes in 17''. Bolt pattern is off by 0.7mm, but the wheel and hub don't give a flip...has been done before with good results
