Is there any information on the Scripps Booth 4door touring cars of about 1918 (guess they were mostly Chevy's by then)...the Scripps Booth newsletter doesn't seem to be "alive" or updated anymore? I'm searching for one to own..

Don,

What type of information are you looking for?

For technical, historical and other types of information, I suggest that you try the AACA Library & Research Center. It is a very good chance that they would have original information on Scripps Booth as their library is very extensive on rare brands. For a small fee, they will search ther holdings for applicable items. An effort is going on now to put the entire listing of the library holdings on the library web site so people can search the listings online. The contact information or the library is:

AACA Library & Research Center

501 West Governor Road

PO Box 417

Hershey, PA 17033

Phone: (717) 534-2082

You can mail the librarian Kim Miller at kmiller@aacalibrary.org

The latest Scripps Booth newsletter I found online is December 2005, which may be about the latest issue for such a rare car. From the Scripps Booth Register web site, it appears that the Scrips Booth Register newsletter is published about once a year. The URL for the newlsetter is:

http://home.earthlink.net/%7Escrippsbooth/Number18.pdf

Hope this helps.

Assuming imported_don hughes has dropped off.

But this really depends on the model; the 1918-1919 Six-39 were more Oaklands, not Chevrolet.

They used the same Northway ohv I-6 and the same frame as the Oakland 34-B.

AACA should have info, but if your library has a copy of Lester-Steele you can find all the details of what was used in them.
