old_truck_nut
I'm trying to re-assemble a '23-4-35 basket case that originally was one of the Canadian Buicks shipped KD to Howard Distributing in '23. The 2 wheel rear brake rods are just like their LH counterparts, but the brake pedal on the RH side does not line up with the rods behind it. The pedal will pull at about a 30 degree angle on the levers on the torque tube. Is this the way they did it back then? I've seen pictures of RHD Chevrolets that were set up that way but it seems a little contrary to basic mechanical practice to me. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.Whitney H
Mark Shaw
I am not sure I understand what you are working on. Canadian cars are not right hand drive after 1914. Mark ShawVancouver, WA.
old_truck_nut
Oops, I failed to mention the car went from Canada to Howard Distributing in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA. Hence the RHD. Sorry for the confusion.Whitney
