I will be the first to admit that this is not Packard related, but what the heck.

Today in the mail was something that I had been waiting on for about two months, the May edition of the CCCA Bulletin. The editor of this publication is Beverly Ray Kimes. In the February edition of the Bulletin, apearing on the cover was some pictures of early 30's English Invicta's, they also asked people to answer some questions about the history of Invicta. After reading the questions I went to my library and did about 10 minutes research, and had a letter written in about an hour detailing the history that I had on Invicta.

In March of this year I received a post card in the mail. The post card was from Beverly Kimes. On the post car she wrote the following.

Hi John

Thank you so much for your super letter to the editor. Look for it in the May Bulletin.

Today when I got home the May edition was there on my desk. I quickly opened the Bulletin to the Letters to Bullentin, there on page 9 was the letter I had written. It was published just as I had written the letter.

Invicta's produced after WWII have something in common with the 55 and 56 Packard's. They both used torsion bar suspensions, using their own varation of the suspension system.

Hear hear !! For he's a jolly good fellow !!! I've met Bev Kimes twice at a few Car shows [ Children's burn center foundation Meets in Lehigh , Pennsylvania ] And I've tried to show her up. No can do - she knows her stuff! I got really miffed at Bob Bahre who ran the last show - after looking at my Color pictures and filled out forms for my recently restored Packard Pacific he deemed it not worthy for the show. I'm stilled miffed! I guess it's not as good as his 1934 'car of the dome' Packard. All I was trying to do was help raise some money for the kids. I guess the Amethyst color was not classy enough. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
