gstottish
How and where do you check the automatic transmission fluid on a 1949 Cadillac Model 62? If it needs fluid, what type should I use? Thanks
K8096
Lift the carpet on the passanger side of the front floor. There's a small plate held in with two screws near the "hump" in the floor. Remove this plate and you find a small dipstick for the transmission. Check fluid just like you would a modern car - have it warmed up first and check level with engine running and car in neutral. gstottish
Thank you for the information. Does anyone know if I can use Dextron III, or should I use some other ATF?
