Guest maybe2fast Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 all is well with the remote...well the range kinda sucks butall buttons work except the light button...weird
Guest DTerry Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Mine, too. Everything works but the light. Not that I care, it comes on when I open the door, but I am curious.
Guest inthespot Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 My light button.... dittto. But mine also has another problem which I thought was in the remote but is not. When I would punch the trunk button I can get it open at times and then the next time it would not. Then I noticed that the release in the glove box did not work. Well what it is doing is the trunk is releasing when you push the button and then the servo will close real fast and latches it again. So when you push the trunk release button you have to oppen it within about 1 second or so. Now would this be an adjustment or just a work servo. I use the term servo but I am not sure what it actually uses. Anyone know what would cause this. If there is not an adjustment then Jim I need help.
Guest DTerry Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 There's a spring device in the trunk lock that forces it open just slightly when the release is activated. If the spring is intact, a slight adjustment of the latch downward should fix it. I just replaced mine.Sorry, Maybe2fast, didn't mean to hijack your post....
Guest imported_Mark K Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Make sure the deck lid is not seating too far down. If the lid seats too far down it won't pop up like it should. There are two black bumpers on the lid that adjust the lid height. Just turn them in or out lower or raise the lid height. Line up the pin stripes as a guide.
