Upper Motor Mount

Don't know about the green dot thingy but ... this part is one of the easiest to replace & is available as aftermarket. The part you need is only the inner piece that had one bolt at each end going through it (kinda looks like a dog bone/rawhide treat when removed). If you go thru GM, they'll likely try to sell you the whole assembly, which costs way more.<BR>~Brenda<P>------------------<BR>REATTA SITE:<A HREF="http://members.aol.com/gohighr/reatta.html" TARGET=_blank><BR>http://members.aol.com/gohighr/reatta.html</A>

Thanks for the comment; I have to remember to make sure I explore this before ordering. I didn't even stop to consider there might be an aftermarket for this particular mount. The way it is constructed led me to think that the rubber bushings were molded into the "dogbone" and not sold separately. It cost me $33 for the whole assembly from GM. Does yours not have green dot top or bottom, Brenda?

yes, the 'dog-bone' piece is sold individually from the black bracket it mounts into and comes with the black rubber bushings in both ends.<BR>Don't thinks there's ever been a green dot on the original or the replacement on mine.<P>------------------<BR>REATTA SITE:<A HREF="http://members.aol.com/gohighr/reatta.html" TARGET=_blank><BR>http://members.aol.com/gohighr/reatta.html</A>
