I have a friend that wants a 65 to 68 Electra convertible. Not looking for a show car, but a good appearing and running car in the 10 to 15K range. We have seen a few on-line, but would like something within 500 miles of Detroit.

E-mail me at nailheadjr@ameritech.net with "Electra" in subject line.

I wonder if this is the gentleman that contacted me about my 1970 (not for sale), and mentioned he was looking at a nice maroon 68 225 convert in PA?

In any case, if you're willing to expand the years a bit in order to find a sharp deuce ragtop, I have a buddy that is currently selling his very nice 63 225 convert on ebay right now. Sharp car, with buckets and factory AC. Car meets your location criteria, and is just south of Flint.

There has been a Bamboo Cream 1970 (like mine, but with chocolate interior)for sale in the Bugle for a couple of months. It is between Flint and Detroit and is in your friend's price range. I haven't seen the car, so I can't comment on it.

Lastly, if he would consider a really clean COUPE, Motorcar Portfolio in Canton OH (still within your 500 range) has a super nice 68 2dr 225 coupe. (The proprietor is a friend, so mention my name if you call!)

Thanks to everyone that answered. Sorry I did not get back sooner. Been rough at work the last couple of weeks with computer operating system changes, and I don't learn as fast as I used to.

Greg, No, this was not the person that you spoke to about your car.

Also, please e-mail me off-forum regarding a proposed car show this fall in metro Detroit that is dealer sponsored. Because it is not chapter sponsored, I don't know what is policy for posting on this site.

My 3 Buicks, I wish I had the space and the extra money, that '68 Deuce appears to be a sweetheart. Oh well. I can dream anyway!

Anyway, my friend has found a local car, and we are going to look at it next week.

Thank you for all your efforts.
