a604 Trans fixed!

Hi all,

I posted a problem with my trans a week or so ago and it looks like it was deleted. Is there any reason why a post of that sort would be deleted on purpose?

For those who did read it, i fixed it. For those that never saw it, here goes:

My car had the trans replaced about 400 miles ago. It ran great for the 400 miles and then went into limp mode. Took it over for warranty work, and they said codes said to replace solenoid pack. They did that 2x and still nothing. Tested trans harness. OK. I took over another TCM and it worked great UNTIL 2 miles from my house and limp mode again!

I ordered a rebuilt TCM from Rock auto and while installing it I inspected the harness. The harness was cut through by the A/C compressor! Every time a bump or turn would come by, the harness would hit the pulley and short it out. One wire was almost completely cut through, and 2 others were abraded. I spliced the bad wire together, and taped the others, and the harness is like new! The car runs like a champ!

Lesson learned, check the wires too!
