1926 Studebaker Rims with pitts

[1926Roadster]

Looking for an idea for repairing rust pits.

I sandblasted my badley rusted rims and found some

rust pits. They are surface pits but I need to repair

them before I paint.

Pitting, or rotted through? If it is just pitting bondo works fine.

The way I fix them is to fill the deeper ones with a little bondo but push it in good to fill the hole and then sand smooth and use a fast build primer over it. It may take several coats of the primer to build it up then sand smooth and repete untill all pits are gone. If the pits are not very bad you can sometimes skip the bondo.
