1926Roadster Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Looking for an idea for repairing rust pits.I sandblasted my badley rusted rims and found somerust pits. They are surface pits but I need to repairthem before I paint.ThanksKen Gasch

Guest Indiana_Truck Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 The way I fix them is to fill the deeper ones with a little bondo but push it in good to fill the hole and then sand smooth and use a fast build primer over it. It may take several coats of the primer to build it up then sand smooth and repete untill all pits are gone. If the pits are not very bad you can sometimes skip the bondo.Bob
