moulding

89 tc leaks badly where top meets windshield. Is there supposed to be a piece of moulding/gasket on the metal frame over the windshield????? there was nothing there when i bought the car but I notice a recessed trough- like area that i am wondering maybe contained some sort of gasket???? any ideas????

Just looked at mine for ya, no gasket on windshield frame. However mine is a 90 TC. Gasket only on the top itself.

My '89 doesn't have a gasket on the W/S frame either. It does have one on the soft and hardtops though, and it doesn't leak there either.
