I am trying to identify the vehicle in this postcard. The picture depicts an officer stationed in Texas during the Border Wars circa 1916-1918. I know both Dodge and Overland had contracts with the goverment to supply vehicles to the army, but I am unsure of what other companies had the same type of contracts.

In any case, I would really appreciate it if someone could help me identify the make if not the model as well! THANK YOU THANK YOU, in advance smile.gif

ENGLISH LESSON FOR ANTIQUE CAR LOVERS:

"Duel" is is a formal fight between two persons with deadly weapons, once an acceptible way to settle arguments, romantic entanglements involving third parties.

"Dual" refers to Two of something, i.e. <span style="font-style: italic">dual</span> cowl, <span style="font-style: italic">dual</span> exhaust.

sorry for getting on my soapbox, this just stood on my pet peeve.
