Auto Trunk Release

Here's an interesting one re: my 1989 Coupe. On two occassions my electric trunk release began clicking on its own. It sounded as if someone was repeatedly pushing the trunk release button in the glove box. The latch in the trunk was also engaging and disengaging as if the release button was being pushed repeatedly. I was able to stop the clicking by pulling the wire from the latch in the trunk. When I reconnected the wire the first time the clicking stopped. I have not connected it the second time. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks. Thanks Barney. I'll see if I can locate a new relay through the dealer. Any idea of cost or difficulty to install. Thanks. KR.

I had a different Buick that would do that because the button would stick in the glove box. It would not stick enough right after I used it to do anything but I would hit a bump later and I could hear the solenid clicking.
Tom
