hzamar Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 hello,i have a 1972 monte carlo i am going to sell and need to get an estimate on the value. the car is in unrestored, not running condition. it has a 350, auto transmission, and bench seats. car is complete but has not been used since the 1980s. it is an arizona/california car and is free of rot. if anyone can give me an idea of the value please email me at hzamar@yahoo.comthanks,herb
ronvb Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 If you could post a picture it might give us a better idea. All depends on condition, options and what it would take to restore or make a driver.Any Chevy that has been sitting for 20+ years is going to have brake issues, possibly engine, transmission, and axle seals that are dried out and if leaking need of relacement.I have seen them go anywhere from $1800 for a rough one to-$12,000 for a cherry or restored show car.If the body and interior is solid then it may bring up to $5000.to the right person.ronvb
Guest somedude618 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 i just paid 2500 for a '72 with a running engine but almost no interior and one fender/headlight tha's almost been obliterated, so it all depends on what peopel are willing to pay. not running though, particularly if it hasnt been running for 20 years, means realistically you probably won't get more than about 3k out of it
