Junkman Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Have a 28 model 533 that has the correct two belt crank pulley but has a single belt water pump pulley. Can anyone supply a two belt pulley for the water pump?
Guest imported_Speedster Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Here's a picture of a 533 Sedan's engine and it appears to only have 1 belt ??? Was the 2 belt type an Optional water-pump in '28? I know my '29 Standard-8s and my '29 Super-8 both only have 1 belt. See attachment: You could always use the other pulley for an AC Compressor. LOL
RAL923 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I also have a 1928 533 and just had the motor compltly restored back to original specs (two year process) but it only has one belt on waterpump,I am sure this is correct since there was an extreem amount of research to get motor back to the way it was when delivered from factory...just curious what color & how complete is your car /condition?
Junkman Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 Aha! Maybe my water pump is correct, and the crank pulley is wrong. The crank pulley looks like my 740 pulley with two narrow grooves, except the 740 has a harmonic balancer and the 533 does not. Can anyone out there supply a crank pulley with the single groove for a wide belt?
