After restoration work on Ford products from '29 to '39, I am considering getting a 30's GM product (or a Packard) to work on. Since I began with total ignorance, and now feel comfortable working on the things, would someone comment on the difficulties I would face if I made the switch.

The most difficult part is that you'll have to get used to quality. grin.gif The second most difficult part is that you'll have to get used to paying 10 times more for NOS or reproduced parts.

The amount of work may be the same, or maybe less. You do not have to deal with as much "by the book" restoration procedures. Yes, there are correct ways of doing things, but no where near as detailed as when restoring a Ford.
