Doug1954 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Hello. I have a 54/55 Roadmaster Convertable proto-type. Has anyone ever gone through the authentication process with Buick? I am trying to reach out to them. Any help and support would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Doug.
Guest my3buicks Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Doug, do you still have all the information that used to be shown with this car, If I remember there was an easel with info or a display in the windshield that told much of the cars history and details.
Pete Phillips Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Terry Dunham in Florida has a service whereby you can purchase a copy of the original factory order for the car, if I'm not mistaken. Don't have his email handy, but his address is: 2341 Sweetwater Country Club Place Dr., Apopka, FL 32712.Pete Phillips

I spent two years writing letters, sending photos, chasing dead ends to get my letter from them. And that was back in 1980! I don't want to discourage you, but the Buick of today is a very different animal than even the Buick of 1980. You need someone on the inside that is willing to spend some time digging for you. Most, if not all, the people that were around when your car was new are at least retired if not deceased. Buick is now a marketing division of GM and as such, the people that may know something (if their still around) are scattered among many different divisions of GM.I just kept writing...and writing. I finally got the name of the person in charge of shows, display's and exhibits for Buick and he was kind enough to send me a letter about my GSX and autheniticated the car as a factory show car. Good luck to you!
