ClassicResto1 Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Hi, I hope you can help me. The chromer apparently "lost" some parts to a Studebaker we are currently restoring and we are having a hard time finding them. We need the cowl lamp supports, the cowl lamps (complete) or whatever you may have, a large grille shell. Thats all we know for now. Any help or direction would be appreciated. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Guest stude8 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 The 30 President radiator shroud is a one year one model piece due to that being the only year they used shutters in front of the radiator. It is extra deep to enclosed the shutter mechanism. I had one and a partial shutter frame that went with it. Contact Bob Kapteyn at Joliet (IL) Studebaker, he may still have it on hand. It was rough but a few trips through the acid copper tanks and a plater could bring it back.I had a 1930 President for 27 years and accumulated a lot of spares for it but we are moving a long distance and all surplus Studebaker parts went to Kapteyn.Stude8
