1970 442 4spd Rods/Hardware finish

I've finally acquired all of the rods, levers, linkage, retainer clips, nuts, bolts, washers, lock washers, shifter, shift lever, and shifter mounting plate for my 1970 442. Could anyone tell me the correct finish for these parts (primarily the rods, bolts, washers). I've seen photos where some are the black oxide, and other photos where the parts are plated yellow zinc chromate. Or, could someone tell me which reference (manual, etc.) I might refer to for this information. Thanks so much! Brent

Just got back from the National Olds Car Show in Dallas. Searched for the answer to my question above, and it appears the correct finish is to have the rods cadmium plated.

But I wish someone could point me toward a definitive reference for all the parts under the hood/chassis and what would be the correct finish. Also, what percentage gloss is Chassis black, gloss black and semi-gloss black?
