FredH Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I need to replace my muffler and Radiator and am looking for part numbers for aftermarket replacement options. I have read in our news letters that several members have been successful in getting replacement mufflers and have had the twin pipe extensions welded on successfully.I have also heard that a 1989 Dodge Daytona radiator will work as a replacement for our OEM TC radiators - is that true?
TwinCamFan Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Hmm, I guess I should have saved my OE muffler when I upgraded the exhaust, I never figured anyone would want it Yes, the INTERCOOLED 89 Daytona radiator is the same as the TCAlan
FredH Posted March 19, 2006 Author Posted March 19, 2006 Alan,I don't see my first reply to you so must have failed to do something right. Anyhow, thanks for your help. In looking on the net for 89 Daytona radiatiors, I find one that with Part # 433883 that looks most like the one in my TC. Is this the one I can use to replace my OEM radiator, PN # 4401022?Thanks,Fred
TwinCamFan Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Sorry Fred, I'm not a parts # guy, I just know what fits It does have to come from a turbo/intercooled Daytona though.Alan
FredH Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 Hello Alan,Not sure if you clicked on the attachment to my last reply, but with you support I am pretty confident the PN 433883 is what I need. Went to my local "Advanced Auto Parts" dealer the other day and had them look it up and it was listed under the 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby 2.2L Turbo. Also listed same PN under 1989 LeBaron 2.2L Turbo.I will let the club know for shure once I purchase ($111.00) it and do the install. Thanks again,Fred
TwinCamFan Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Fred, I know it seems like I am being repetitious, maybe I am, it has to be for an INTERCOOLED car. Daytona or LeBaron is fine but both of those models came intercooled AND non intercooled. Keep us in the loop how it fits Alan
