Where did you get that from?He lives in Bruxelles, Belgium, which in English is Brussels. And that is very much in Europe. The Belgian Congo no longer exists, becoming the Republic of Congo in 1960 when it became independent of Belgium. The country became the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1966 under dictator Mobutu and the Republic of Zaire (pronouced Zah-ear) in 1971. Zaire reverted to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, although still ruled by a dictator, in 1997. It also known as Congo-Kinshasa, after its capital, and should not be confused with the Republic of the Congo, a former French colony, on the DRC's west border, the Congo River. (The ROC's capital, Brazzaville, is across the river from Kinshasa.) The DRC is located south of Egypt in the lower part of Africa. The equator runs through the northern part of DRC.So ends today's geography lesson.BillVancouuver, BC

Belgium is a bi lingual country using both French and Flemish names. Begie is the Flemish word for Belgium.
