how to add non-standard CD changer

Has anyone added an after market CD changer to their TC? Any part numbers on adapters used and changers would be appreciated. Thanks. Mike

I added a later model Chrysler radio with CD and Cassette Players. It bolts right in where the old one is and uses the same plugs and works and sounds great. You can buy them on ebay for $100 to $180 or so. I paid $111.50 for mine. I'm keeping the old one in case I decide to sell the car at a later date and the buyer wants that radio instead.

I took mine to a shop and they wanted an arm and a leg (plus) to keep all 8 speaker functioning. Amplifier, equalizer, new wiring, not to mention new speaker and the stereo. So I am blissfully listening to my iPOD.

Yeah, Chrysler had a pretty specific amplified four wire speaker system not very well understood at stereo shops. Fortunatly as Skydad pointed out, you can use the system from an early to mid 90's Chrysler and it will fit right in. I might consider upgrading my stereo for the long drive to Laughlin this year. Of course I have to reassemble the top end of the motor first and change the transmission, and axles, and shifter, and...
