Steve Hammatt Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 The first initial reproduction cover made from new, limited run tooling, built of the same steel gauge as the original, the bracket is identical, fabrication welding and rivets are identical and the interior doublers are the same. There were a number of Early Cadillac Group members that have already indicated a desire to have one or more of these pieces. As soon as I have the indication of how many pieces will be ordered, we can start on the remaining pieces. The initial tooling, etc. came to a set up cost, exclusive of the cover itself, of $150.00. Individual covers will be at a cost of approx. $250.00 each PLUS the proportional share of the $150.00. In other words, if the production run is 10 units, then the cost to each buyer will be approx. $250.00 plus $15.00 (set up costs) plus additional USPS charges for shipping and insurance. All prices are US$.I'll be taking $100 deposits soon, but all I'm asking for now is a firm commitment. Nobody is getting a free ride on this, all costs will be shared equally If you?re a member of the Early Cadillac Group (a Yahoo based email group of 120 members) then you can see the photos here: Cadillac Air Compressor Cover Project or go to the website , click on Join This Group and you?ll be a part of exciting things happening with our 1 and 4 cylinder copper cylinder Cadillacs. You can contact me directly for further questions, etc. I expect your order can be delivered in less than 60 days. Tell your friends and let's get the production run numbers up!Super thanks.Steve HammattMount Vernon WA USAgsteve@hammatt.com
