Guest John W. Harvey Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Mark,The 2006 judging manual (available online - and a hard copy can be purchased) is a good place to start. In addition, I would strongly recommend attending judging school (you will get a free 2006 manual) at a national meet. Even if you don't want/plan on judging, it is a good place to see and hear a lot more. From time to time, at the national meets, Fred Young also holds a session for car owners. This session preps the owner for what to do and what to expect during judging.Of course, one of the best ways to learn is the old fashion way....... ask questions........ just as you are now!
Steve Moskowitz Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 The 2006 manual should be online this week. The 2005 is currently available on line and will work for your purposes. If you consider that AACA is all about having your vehicle look "as it came from the factory" then that should be your guiding light in getting ready for a meet. The other thing you should do is get involved with your local region or chapter. Undoubtably, the will have members that are AACA judges and I am sure they would be happy to look at your car and advise you on any problems.Look forward to seeing your car at a meet.
