As many Buick Fans may already know, the Park Avenue was NOT offered with the 3.8L Supercharged V6 engine until the 1992 model year. That, however, did NOT stop me from converting this Park Avenue into a rather fast, full sized luxury sedan.

The vehicle itself currently has 170,000 miles on the odometer; however, the powertrain only has 65,000 miles. The powertrain was purchased NEW and was originally slated for a 1992 Buick Park Avenue ULTRA. The supercharged engine matching 4T60E was purchased as a complete set.

The engine, however, has been significantly modified from its original format.

-The stock 32lb/hr fuel injectors have been replaced with Bosch 36lb/hr injectors.

-The stock intank fuel pump was upgraded to a Holley 255lph unit

-The stock supercharged pulley was removed and a custom unit was fabricated, increasing boost to 15lbs

-The stock throttle body was removed and a larger, 1994/1995 model year unit was put into its place

-The stock AC Delco plugs were removed and replaced with higher powered, cleaner burning Iridium Spark Plugs

Don't let the performance modifications scare you off. This is still an EXTREMELY quiet running car. The factory exhaust system has NOT been altered, so it's as quiet as when it left the showroom floor.

Fuel economy is awesome "IF" you keep your foot less than 75% of throttle, which is never "Actually" needed anyhow.

The custom designed Powertrain Control Module chip has the following modifications

-Disabled Rev Limited

-Disabled Top Speed Cutoff

-Enabled Full Throttle 4th gear shift

-Enriched Fuel Curves over 75% Throttle

-Enhanced Timing Curves over 75% Throttle

Mark my word...the car WILL exceed 140 miles an hour and won't break a sweat doing so, however, it still obtains NO LESS than 28 miles per gallon on the highway (normally 30-32 with cruise control) and still manages 20-24 miles per gallon in the city.

This engine has been pampered its entire life. Only Mobil 1 10w30 oil has been used, along with AC Delco filters.

For fear of ruining the MAF sensor with aftermarket, oil charged filters, only AC DELCO standard paper filters have been used, and changed frequently.

The A/C system was FULL converted to R134a during the engine conversion, and contrary to most retrofits, this system gets JUST AS COLD with R134a as it did with R12

The Rack and Pinion was recently replaced with a Brand New unit, provided by Napa Auto parts. There is a lifetime warranty and receipts are available for its future owner.

The Front Disc brakes pads have been upgraded to Performance Friction pads and stops VERY well for a large car.

As you can see from the photos, the interior is in flawless condition. Seats are the typical GM "pillowtop" soft seats. Not a single crack in the dash, no sagging headliner, and not a single tear in the interior.

The car originally lived life in Florida and the car is after all 15 years old, so the clear coat is NOT as shiny as from the factory, however, there is NO major body damage on the vehicle and a fresh coat of paint will REALLY bring this car out.

The chrome all the way around the vehicle is perfect, unchipped, and un-dented.

The factory cassette deck has been replaced with an AC Delco CD Player from a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, to keep the OEM look. The sound system is the factory Park Avenue "Concert Sound" system with 6x9 3-way speakers in the rear deck, 5.25" speakers in the front door, and factory installed tweeters in the front door arm rests.

An Alpine V12 amplifier and a custom made, FLUSH fitting subwoofer cabinet with 12" polycone subwoofer is also installed and takes VERY VERY little of this huge trunk's space away. This can be removed, IF requested.

Tires have approximately 75% tread life left, as they've been rotated frequently.

Other features include:

-BOTH front seats power

-Power Windows

-Power Locks

-Power fuel door

-Soft close trunk

-Automatic Headlights

-Dual Climate Control

-"Dynaride" Stability Control with auto load leveling

-Cruise Control

-Variable Assist Power Steering

-Power Anti-lock brakes (Front Disc / Rear Drum)

Asking price is $3500, which may be over book value for the vehicle; however, with the modifications, maintenance, and condition of the vehicle, it is WELL worth it.

I am far from a beginner at engine conversions, so this Park Avenue is a car that will run perfectly for many years to come. The only reason it's being sold is to make room in the garage for our new X5 BMW (aka Wifeymobile LOL)
