If a 55 Olds S88 was painted Polar White over Coral does anyone know the correct color for the wheels? Coral? White? Something else?.....Bob.

Thank you. That was my guess but I want to be correct. What chart do you have that shows that? I may have a couple of other questions........Bob.

Paul, let me restate my last question. For a Polar White over Coral S88 Holiday Coupe, Coral and Gray interior do you show the carpet being Gray Daytona loop?.......Thanks again...Bob

Unfortunately, carpet is one of the few things the chart doesn't list. Here's what it shows:

Trim #314 Coral Leather and Dark Gray Pattern Cloth

Upper Instrument Panel - Dark Gray

Autronic-Eye - Dark Gray

Rear Seat Speaker Bezel - Dark Gray

Lower Instument Panel - Coral

Dash Mat - K. B. Board - Dark Gray

Steering Column - Coral

Turn Signal Lever - Coral

Shift Lever - Coral

Steering Wheel - Coral

Sorry - that's it.

I was thinking (I know, very dangerous) that all GM cars of that era used Daytona weave. The 80/20 stuff was a 60's item.

ACC shows Daytona weave as being correct, but I'd check with one of the OCA advisors.

RE: Carpet. It appears that the upscale GM mid 50's cars such as the Roadmasters and S-88's/98's used Daytona and the less expensive models like Specials and 88's used 80-20. At least that's what Jim from Quality Auto Carpet says that's what his books show. I have a charcoal daytona loop carpet set on order from him now. He provided a 80-20 loop sewn carpet set for my 57 Special that was OUTSTANDING in quality.........Bob.
