Oldsfan Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I was able to get to the transmission shop today and shoot some pics of the vinyl topped '63 Wildcat I was referring to last weekend. For those of you interested in these Wildcats, attached is a shot of the whole car. Note the rather large patch of oil dry on the ground. Apparently this Wildcat has quite a problem.Paul
Oldsfan Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 Here's a shot from the rear. No license plate. Maybe trans work scared off the owner. Rusty quarters.
Oldsfan Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 Here is my main concern. This is a shot of the front part of the vinyl top retainer, down in the rain gutter. I forgot to take a small screwdriver along to see if these things might have a chance of coming out. Probably just as well, as that might have drawn attention.
Oldsfan Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 A shot of the retainer where it makes a bend around the rear 1/4 window. Not the greatest pic, and probably not important, either.
Oldsfan Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 And finally, a shot of the retainer where it ends, just before the belt molding.
gungeey Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks Paul for not forgetting about this. I think I like it better without the factory hold-down in the gutter. Kind of a neat color scheme on the cat, though...Don'e appear in too bad of shape, either. Steve
