Barney Eaton
There are several choices for wire wheels.
Since the Reatta uses the same wheel specifications as other big fwd GM cars, several wheel manufacturers offer aftermarket alloy and wire wheels.
There are two basic designs of wire wheels. One has a large hub cap that covers the lug nuts and the other has the smaller center hub and the lug nuts are exposed. Dayton makes a true knock-off in the later design. they also use stainless spokes where others use chrome plated steel. You also have the option of gold plating on any or part of the wheel. You will also note that they are advertised as 40, 50, 60 etc spoke wheels, this refers to the number of spokes. The least expensive wires start at around $200 each.
------------------
Barney Eaton Reatta technical advisor for BCA and keeper of the Reatta database. Guest
You might be able to take Riveara steel rims and locking hub caps and put them on your Reatta if that is the look you want. A salvage yard should be able to help you out cheaper than custom rims. But they are just hub caps.
Tom
Guest
If you do change your rims are your old ones and center caps for sale? If so what is the condition and how much?
Tom
