zak
I found this to be absolutely brilliant:http://digitalgallery.nypl.org/nypldigit...nufa&col_id=153There's also part of an old copy (1926 IIRC) of Auto Trade Journal scanned in at the Library of Congress' website.http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?am...+journal+%3A+)) (quite a long link and the forum software might break it)Anyone have other such links/resources?CiaoZak

Hornwrecker
Wayne State University in Detroit has a couple: Changing Faces of the Auto Industry Virtual Motor City This archive at Michigan State University has links to a lot of Michgan collections on automobiles. Making of Modern MichiganIn the above links, do a search for an automaker name, or search for auto, automobile, car, etc. The search function in the firt link doesn't seem to work well, so browsing in your best bet. The NAHC and Burton Collections at the Detroit Public Library had a vast amount of early automaking photos. DPL/NAHC & Burton...or for more info about a lot of those photos see the Old Car Factory thread.
zak
Thanks for the others! Here's another I stumbled across, it is amazing!http://mac.flint.lib.mi.us/ahc/index.htmlSteve, I appreciate your mentioning of the AACA online catalogue, but for a skint researcher like myself, stuck literally 10 000 miles or more away from any mainland USA, it's a non-starter without any actual content available online. I'm sure others can & will make use of what must be a fantastic resource. Thanks for the feedback and info guys!CheersZak
Hornwrecker
Here is another one that will take some searching around on, but if you search for "automobile", quite a few early photos of the marking of the Lincoln Highway show up, as well as a few others.
