Guest
I purchased a '91 Reatta, last summer and I wasn't very impressed with the mileage it ranged anywhere from 18 - 20 mpg on the highway. I have owned a LaSabre and got upwards of 30 mpg. Any suggestions? I have used different brands and grades of gas with nil results. Other than that I really am impressed with the vehicle. Guest wally888
I have 2 , 89's and had a 91. The 91 got about the same gas milege you report.(89's get 28-32)
My 91 ran at about 400 rpm higher, in top gear, than the 89's. Different gear ratio's, I'm told.
I will watch this thread for suggestions re. Oxy. Sensor, cleaning throttle body, etc.?
Guest Greg Ross
Mileage should be vastly better, you did not mention what if any maintainance you've done, basic tune-up, Air filter, fuel filter, plugs etc. Most likely your Oxygen Sensor is causing the poor fuel consumption but you've got to do the basics first.
