JOHN07 Posted December 4, 2005 Share Posted December 4, 2005 I was hoping someone of this forum could help me with this problem. I have an 87' Riviera which is close to the Reatta. The problem I have is when I start my car the radio station changes to 88.7. It does not do this every time. I have read a TSB that states that changing the CRT controller will fix this problem. I did not have this problem when I first bought this car. Is this just a bad solder joint or what?Hope someone can help me.Thanks, JohnT Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jim Posted December 4, 2005 Share Posted December 4, 2005 I am not sure if the CRTC would be causing this problem but everything going to the CRT does go through the CRTC. The parts book shows 4 different service numbers for the 4 years 86 to 89. I am sure the '89 CRTC will work in an '88 and I would guess it would also work in an '87 or '86 as all the CRTs will work in any Reatta.I do have for sure an '89 CRTC and maybe have an '88 CRTC.
