Charles2 Posted October 30, 2005 Share Posted October 30, 2005 The seals should be graphite impregnated rope. I use a large diameter socket to roll them into place and then trim the end of the seal to protrude about 0.005" above the surface of the block and bearing cap to compress the seal material into its grove.
