dplotkin
Looks like I left my timing too far advanced for too long, and finished off my 45,000 mile starter. Who has a starter for this car, the parts houses don't have them. At least she's stuck tucked in the garage.Dan
Guest sixpack2639
NAPA doesn't offer a reman starter for your application but they do offer everything you need to rebuild your starter except the armature. Carl
old-tank
Most larger cities have many starter/alternator/generator repair/rebuild companies. I have had both the generator and starter on my 55 rebuilt locally with good results, good price and no excuses because it is old.Willie
Mrbuick714
If all else fails,I could likely do your starter. (65 years oF experience) Ralph Crisp BCA2399
Guest sixpack2639
Didn't even think of that old-tank. I blame old timers. LOL Dan, check your local Yellow Pages for "Automobile Electric Service". Least wise that's how my local Yellow Pages has it listed. Carl
dplotkin
Thanks guys. On a tip I had NAPA get me a Wilson rebuilt. A Fleet manager swears by Wilson & won't use anything else. Put it in today, seems fine. I discovered that the 364 & 401 use different starters, the 401 has extra coils and a different solonoid for more torque, although they are interchangable.Dan
