nearchoclatetown
Phil, just for information purposes, the club was founded in 1983. There are about 250 charter members, many very active in the club. There's about 1500 regular members throughout the world. Membership does not require ownership of anything except a mailbox for the newsletter. The thread was started by me, not the club. Reason being there has not been much discussion at national meetings about this topic, and I feel it is a very important topic. BTW, there's only two nat'l meetings per year, one at the DBC convention and the other at Hershey Fall Meet. Regardless of the outcome of the vote, you would be welcome to join. 40phil41
Thanks very much for your clarification. It helps me better understand this whole discussion and makes me feel a little more welcomed. Since I do attend Hershey almost every year and I definately have an interest in Dodge (Brothers) history, I may indeed end up joining the Dodge Brothers Club. Thanks again,Phil Ellis

dwollam
It went down in defeat because it needed 2/3 majority of the members to pass. It won in number of votes but didn't have a 2/3 majority. Vote next time people if you want something changed. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />Dave
StevieG
Just to clarify. It is 2/3 of the votes. Not 2/3 of the total members.
dwollam
Well if that is the case that makes me feel better about it. Majority rules! Thanks Steve.Dave
nearchoclatetown
Dave, the rumor is only about 1/4 of the members voted. Pretty pathetic, no matter which side you are on.
