Jay Wolf
I answer all the mail from our AACA region's web site.I got this today from a man in Indianapolis and wondered if any body could give me any assistance answering it."I am looking for information and possibly are there any 1921 H.C.S. Stutz automobiles (in restored condition) that would be available in the future for future events? I am looking for one that maybe was restored as the Indianapolis 500 Pace Setter (pace car) from that year."Even if we could tell him if any exists. West Peterson
Oh yes, they exist. I think that the Stutz club may have a seperate registry for owners of them. I remember seeing at least one at the CCCA Museum show a couple of years ago in Kalamazoo. Bill Greer, from Indy-noplace, can probably help you out. I'll send you a private message with his contact information.
K8096
Mr Greer, the editor of the Stutz Club newsletter, lives in Indianapolis and has a 1921 HCS touring car, the highest serial numbered HCS number known to exist. Incidently, the lowest serial numbered HCS known to exist is in Ohio, a roadster.
1937hd45
I don't have the catalog handy but there were 5-6 sold in the A.K.Miller auction in Vermont @10 years ago.
