Starter motor for Maxwell tourer 1924(?)

I would like some assistance please. A friend of mine is in the process of restoring the above car and so far has done the majority of work to the body, engine and upholstery but whilst dismantling the engine sent the starter to a "specialist" to be rewound due to the poor state of the windings. The "specialist" has not only managed to rewind the motor incorrectly but thrown away the remains thereby preventing us having a pattern to work to. We would be extremely grateful for ANY help on this one, including diagrams, photos etc. The only fly in the ointment is the small fact that we are in the UK where the Maxwell is as rare as hens teeth.
