Guest
can somebody tell me what the sensor connected to the airbox is. one of the guys at autozone told me it was a sort of barometer, and a person at napa told me it was probably a air temperature sensor. anyway, mine has a thick coating of rust, but before i can order a new one i need to know what it is. any information will be appriciated. Guest
It is indeed an air temperature sensor. The data feeds into the good old brain, so it may be helpful to change it out. I did ours and it was under $20 for the part if I remember correctly.
Guest
It's called the MAT sensor. It reads the incoming air temperature and sends it to the computer.
------------------
Hal, btk@vbe.com
