Amphicar BUYER
I called an ad for a swamp cooler this AM. When I got there to look at it, boy was I surprised! The nice gentleman had an early T Touring sitting beside a early teens Stanley, in front of a '01 Stanley (Tiller steering), beside a '56 T-Bird, under a Messerschmidt on a shelf. Every one restored, driven and beautiful! More in the basement that I didn't see. Super nice guy! So you just never know what you'll find! (No, I didn't get the swamp cooler)
Ron Green
John,You do just never know. While checking ebay out I came across this Amphicar that is located somewhere here in my area. I have never seen or heard of it. From checking the Amphicar owners list through the club the owner must not belong. I am resisting the temptation to go look at it.Sorry to see you will be missing Celina. The anticipation and excitement have begun. I am planning on taking the digital and will email you the photos. You may want to post them on the clubs site?RGhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...ssPageName=WDVW
1937hd45
WOW! At that price I'd better take a run to Vermont and see if that one is still in the barn!

Ron Green
John, Great article and a good picture. Sounds like you were busy from a previous posting giving 50 people rides in one day. Your going to wear that thing out. Do you happen to know what part of central PA this car resides? Please give me your current email address off line here in a private message. I now have 2 computers at work at two different offices and am unsure if the address I have for you is good.1937hd45, Give me the address in Vermont and I'll save you a trip. Actually this Amphicar will / should probably end up selling in the 35K range. I know where two are located semi local but the owners don't want to sell, so chances are they could become rust buckets or parts cars someday, but as of now they are stored inside. I got the one started that has been setting for many years in a few minutes, after the owner said "no way you'll get it going". You should have seen the look on his face, priceless!
