wbtegra
The ring around the key hole on the doors are supposed to light up when the exterior door handles are pulled up. This feature worked on my first Reatta but not on the one I currently own. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
TheBlackMoon
Fiber optic cable probably popped out of it's connector if all other door and courtesy lights work okay. Take the door panel off (see speakers on the FAQ page and follow instructions I left for Jim here: http://www.aaca.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001138.html
If other courtesy lights are not working in that door, then it's the bulb or a kink in the cable. If lights are out in both doors, check for a fuse or bad bulbs.
Good luck.
Guest
Consultant_1 is right on the money.
I had to change mine recently and the bulb lives behind the door panel right in the middle of the door. It uses the same kind of bulb as a side marker light.
I have a couple of suggestions 1. Go to the local parts store and buy a door panel tool (about $5.00) it allows you to remove the plastic pushpins in the door panel with out tearing them up. If they are already broken you can get a new set from GM mine cost $18.00 for both door panels (each panel requires 18 plastic push pins)
Good Luck,

------------------
Jim

Guest Stan Leslie
The key hole light was eliminated on the 91 model. I think it was on the 88-90 models.
