Guest
I bought this perfectly running and driving 2 door HT for $500 and I notice the fronts have P225-75R-15s on the front and P235-75R-15s on the back. Which one is correct??
BamaWildcat
I don't know which one is correct for your year, but the guy I bought my 1964 LeSabre from had put 235's all the way around. I replaced them with 225's, and the ride is a LOT better.
Guest
"Correct" tire size for a '62 LeSabre would be something like an 8.00 x 15" tire (that's what I had on my '61 LeSabre when I owned one). Maybe someone else can correct me, but I think the 7.60 x 15 was the standard size, and the optional larger size was the 8.00 x 15 tire. The metric equivalent would probably be the 225 75R15. The 235 75R15 is for a larger, heavier car such as the Electra or a Cadillac
Pete Phillips, BCA #7338
Ector, Texas
Guest Skyking
Pete is correct on this. I have a 62 Invicta, which is the same size as the LeSabre and I have the 225 75R15's and they are perfect.
Guest COMPACTBC
Info from the Goodyear site is as follows:
760-15 = P225/75R15 = 61.52 mph @ 60 mph speedo reading
710-15 = P215/75R15 = 60mph @ 60mph speedo reading.
So if you want your speedo to read correctly the P215/75R15 is the best size. That is what I have on my '62 LeSabre.
