Looks as though I'm the only Dixie Chapter member that responded. Guess I'll have to see what I can do about that.

Let's see here. These are the ones I send dues to:

Mile High Chapter - Director

Rocky Mountain Chapter

Buick Driving Enthusiasts

Buick Modified Division

I also think I'm a member of the Four Corners Region, but I've never sent any dues (or been asked for them, for that matter!).

Well I tried. Several weeks ago I sent all the Dixie members with email addresses listed in the Dixie Chapter Roster a personal email inviting them to drop in on the forum and at least say hello.Went so far as to email them again to let them know I had posted some of there pictures from the BOPC, still no response, well maybe one I think...Kinda strange for southern folk to be so unsociable. confused.gif

I personally would like to see this thread stickied again. The fact that Mr Eaton just now replied shows that there may be a lot of folks that possibly have not posted. Comments?

I resemble that remark! nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!

If the members are true ambassadors to their clubs, then they should recruit new members through SPONSORSHIP.

The 20% or so you mentioned could inspire many of the other 80% to join a club, if they offer to sponsor new members in their area and elsewhere. Remember, not everyone lives in/near a big enough town to have a BCA chapter nearby. Member need to reach out to the rest of the population, big cities account for less than 20% of the US population. Canadians regularly attend US meets/shows, they too can recruit new "prospects" to sponsor.

In my quest for a sponsor at the Reatta Division forum, I was only told "sponsorship to BCA is not required" by a few members, but no offers until I posted a thread citing the need for clubs to actively recruit through sponsorship.

The first member to reply offered, as a true gentleman, to be my sponsor.

Read my post at BCA's Reatta division discussion under the thread "upcoming events suggestion" by tomt. The particular post was close to the end of the thread, but this thread has taken on it's own life, due to tomt's initial post. It is growing exponentially after only 1 day.

My wife and I will both join the Chicagoland BCA chapter and Reatta division at the show in Lincolnshire, IL before I enter our 1991 Reatta coupe and 1991 Reatta convertible.

When you read the post, you'll understand why (I think) sponsorship was important to me. Hopefully it will inspire you to feel the same.

Reattitude Randy.

E-mail them one more time, and attatch embarrassing pictures, tellthem you've posted the pictures of them for all to see as a ruse. grin.gif

Or suggest there are parts they are desperately looking for here, (which there always are, if you look and ask a few questions), eventually they will find the part and thank you for the heads' up. smirk.gif

Then wait to see how many show up! ooo.gif

Just a little good, clean fun can sometimes bring old members back, and new ones in. wink.gif

Reattitude Randy.
