Ken/Alabama
Anyone know of a source or a good metal fabricator that could reproduce the lower door extensions for my 39 LZ Coupe?I have them off of the door and apart, they are in pretty sad condition but good enough for a pattern. CBoz
I'm not familiar with the '39s and how they go together, but you might first call Merv Adkins in CA (see "sources" section of website). He may have a good pair all ready to go.
DizzyDale
Dear Flatcat,Had the same issue with my 39 coupe, super metal man came to my place and made some patterns before i took the doors off.I would advise you to do the same,if pieces are made and they do not have the door in front of them i can only see problems ahead,They have a compound angle, the fact that they are round and also have a bow front to back make em tough with out the door to work with.Nothin like payin for a real nice piece only to find out its not even close once you have it migged to your door bottom and we haven't even started discussing the 1/4" gap between the bottom of the door and the radius over the running board and the funky radiuss where the bottom radius of the door meet the extention on the front fender.diz
