Question for someone familiar with '37 gloveboxes

Ron Carpenter's is recreating my gloveboxes, and he was asking me whether the driver's side glovebox was short or long. I told him I didn't have mine -- does anyone know for sure?

I can check mine tomorrow. By your question, do you mean are both sides the same size?

I *think* both sides are the same depth, but not sure. The guy who is making the gloveboxes couldn't remember if the radio is mounted on the driver's side firewall or under the seat in '37. I think this makes the difference. So.....

1. Where have you mounted your radio?

2. Are the gloveboxes the same depth?

Cecil, the gloveboxes are the same and the radio box mounts under the front seat on the passenger side. The radio controls can go on either side in the ash tray spots, I have mine on the driver's side.

My '39 Zephyr has no left side glove box. It might be shorter than the right side because the radio is mounted on the drivers side firewall in '39. Let me know how your glove boxes come out because I'll eventually need to get the left side if not both.
