Jim N
I am working on a 1926 Chrysler model 70, six cylinder. The carb is a Ball and Ball updraft with potmetal parts that are bad. I need help finding a usable replacement that will fit the throttle linkage and choke. Any ideas? Thanks
HarryJ
Jim N. ..........You need to find a carburetor (updraft) that will serve a 218 ci engine. Several replacements were made for displacements in the low 200's; my series "72" runs a Carter BB-1 as a replacement to the Ball & Ball originally fitted. Pay attention to the flange bolt orientation and the throat diameter. Connecting up the throttle linkage and choke should be of secondary importance; modern linkages can be modified to accommodate the needs of the hook-up.
