BUICK RACER
Remember we had some major discussion about this forum and ways to improve it, well, shortly that will happen as Peter gets some time to do it. Here's what's going to happen:General Discussion (Sticky Note) Welcome to the General Discussion Forum. Any general discussion that?s Buick-related can be posted here. Just be sure it doesn?t fit better in some of the other Forums listed below. (That way, our moderator doesn?t have to move it to it?s correct forum) Collectible Buick-Tech and Restoration (Sticky Note) Welcome to the Collectible Buick -Technical and Restoration Forum. Post questions and share your knowledge of chassis, engine, body, and trim technical and restoration issues here. Covers all years of Collectible Buicks, 1903 to present -- except anything so new as to still be under factory warranty! Be sure to include the year and model of the car and the general nature of the question in the Subject Line. This makes it easier for others to do a ?Search? later in case they have a similar question. Performance/Modified Buicks(Sticky Note) Welcome to the Performance and Modified Buick Forum. Post discussions and technical questions about high performance and muscle cars, modifieds, customs and hot rods here.Buick Reatta (Sticky Note) Welcome to the Buick Reatta Forum. Anything related to the Buick Reatta goes here.Buick Buy and Sell (Sticky Note) Welcome to the BCA Buy and Sell Forum. List cars, parts for sale/ wanted here. Also share links to eBay parts and cars, other auctions or vendors etc. Anything Buick or car related can go here (tools, books, memorabilia, trailers, etc.) When entering the Subject, please start with either FS for For Sale or WTB for Want to Buy. Follow that with the year and model of car/part for sale/wanted. PLEASE include the price, location, and contact information. Also, please don?t reply with personal views of someone?s asking prices. You can also report the ?Bad Guys? here.Me and My Buick(Sticky Note) Welcome to the Me and My Buick Forum. This forum is for sharing photos and stories of your treasured Buick, as well as photos of you and your family, your Buick?s living room (garage, barn, shop), etc. You can find some tips on posting here (link). If you still have problems just go to the General Discussion Forum and ask. Buick Club of America, Events, Business and News (Sticky note) Welcome to the BCA Events, Business and News Forum. This forum is for posting upcoming BCA Regional and Chapter meetings and events, as well as other shows, cruise-in?s, swap meets, and any happenings that BCA members might want to know about. Centurion
Roberta, thanks for the word, and for presenting the proposal to the BCA Board of Directors. I appreciate the effort of Mr. Earl, in particular, whose vision for growing the BCA Forums is reflected in the new format.Let's give this our best effort, folks. As people come to the forums here and see that we're an energetic group of Buick enthusiasts, I think we'll see more people participate. I've seen about seven new members on our General forum here within the last three days, and that's exciting to see.We know, too, that it's possible to make adjustments to the forum structure along the way, so I hope you are all willing to re-open the dialogue and suggest constructive changes during the months ahead.Late addition: I just noticed that all the new forums are now in place. Hang on!

Hang on! </div></div>BTW did I mention that I will be out of town and without computer access for the next 6 weeks? Just kiddin and thanks for the note of appreciation but I seem to recall that it was one ol' Centurion that started it all. Plus there was a lot of input from a lot of great minds, so hey we're all in this together. This may be PeterG and Roberta's Forum but it's the members that make it or break it.I do hope that it is well received. I want to thank everyone that has already given their input. Hopefully the new menu reflects the general feeling I heard expressed and meets the objectives I tried to keep in mind while helping to develop it. And those were:- Keep it simple and user friendly- Keep it "community culture" oriented- Have topics that will attract people in and then make them want to communicate and help others- And that all of this would meet the goal of increasing the membership and level of participation which equates to promoting what we are all here about...The greatest car in the world, the Buick!! Roberta, am I correct in saying that you presented a draft of the changes to the BCA Board and they apparently supported it? Regarding any tweaking of what's been shown thus far; - I see that the listing order of the topics was changed from how Roberta had shown them. I do like the order she had them in better. - I see that the topic description is in the header of each topic and that the Registration info and link has been omitted. Should this possibly be added back at the end of the description to advise newcomers.
R W Burgess
Great idea and good job, Roberta. The Buick Forum seems to be on the cutting edge of new ideas here. The rest of the web site may borrow ideas from you in the future. Keep up the good work! <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Wayne

Guest imported_Thriller
Roberta,Thank you for your efforts. I hope these changes, if possible, improve the discussions here. One small thing though - I always access the forum through the BCA site and I notice that links to the new forums aren't there at the moment. I was just surprised when someone mentioned it was already set up, but I didn't see any changes.Keep up the good work.
Guest imported_MrEarl
Roberta, I've noticed that there is no description in the header of "Performance and Modified". Is that forthcoming? Also the Registration link no longer appears in the headers as previously did.
