I would be surprised, if there wouldn't been any topic like this before. I haven't seen one yet, so I hope to see interesting cars!

Here are mine:

1939 Hudson (92 Pacemaker maybe?)

300_1939hudson.jpg

Still in Nebraska waiting to get to Finland.

My 1964 Imperial LeBaron.. seller said it has only 24k miles on it.. ? Still in LA waiting to get home to Finland...

300_LeBaron.jpg

My 1957 Imperial Crown. Was my daily driver after 30 years of standing in HOT CALIFORNIA sun. Now, waiting new cylinder block .. engine overhauling and tranny.

And my 1939 Dodge .. Under construction as they say...

300_my39dodge.jpg

I would like too pics of your cars as well!

(Thank god I'm only 25 years old..) I have many years left to restore my cars grin.gifgrin.gif

Here is my next project. It is a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury. Had one like it in my mis-spent youth. This one has a 361, auto, bucket seat interior, and needs a hell of a lot of metal work. Guess I'll be learning how to weld on this one. wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I would like to include photos in the body of my posts, just as Mika has done.

Some stories read much better if there is more than one photo, and if the author can comment on said photos while they are on screen.

How can I do this? </div></div>

You have to post your photo to some web server like I did:

http://www.dc.turkuamk.fi/users/mjaakkol/images/1964/uudet_kuvat/400_vasenkylki.jpg

You just have to know the url of the pic (like that one above)

Then when you write a message, you can choose "image" from "Instant UBB Code" under the message-writing-box. Just write the URL(link) of the image there. abd OK.

1950_chrysler_royal_woodie_wagon_07.jpg

This is the image from the main page of www.aaca.org . You can see the URL when you press right button over the image and choose "Properties"

Hope this helps-

Here are my two. The 70 Electra was my 2nd car that I've owned since high school. The Cadillac is just finished with an engine overhaul/rebuild, transmission rebuild, new power steering pump, new fuel pump, overhauled oil pump, overhauled carburetor, and replaced starter.

Nice Olds, Ronny! Yep, Suomi, Finland! I guess you made it to the better side of the Earth (what comes to old car hobby!!). I guess that was a good deal!

Nice cars you all have, but I guess there's more members also in AACA. It would be nice to see M O R E cars! Where's all those guys who own '10's ,'20's and 30's cars?

Thanks!

We have a 1939 Dodge four door project car also. Not many of them around. After pricing just the woodgraining, we decided to modify it a little and just enjoy it. Our 1963 1/2 Falcon Sprint convertible is going to be the AACA showcar someday. Hopefully soon.

Know anyone that wants a chassis for a 39 Dodge? We have a spare one in very good shape. smile.gif

That worked real good, I was able to post the pictures here so you don't need to dowload them to see them.

  • 4 weeks later...

I am sure everyone knows what I have but I wanted to share.

Here is my daily driver : Tiffany

My 'show' car (laughing) is the 1947 Cadillac. Actually it is also a driver.

The Flying Dutchman

And my current project for which The Dutchman must be sold, the 1956 Cadillac 6219 sedan :

Vida Boheme

She looks a little (?) rough but believe me, all her parts are there and EVERYTHING works...electrical and mechanical. I was very pleasantly pleased. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thank you, Susan. Good to see you online again. I would love to see your cars!!

Sorry to hear about Cotton. All my animals are neutered or spayed starting back when I was a child. Our family has taken animal health very seriously.

Do set up a gallery! It is easy and fun to look at occasionally. I keep adding to mine. The white '72 Eldorado is my sons. That 1969 Oldsmobile Holiday coupe was mine until a drunk teen totalled it July 4th two years ago. That is why I got Tiffany. I still miss that unrestricted 455!!

The '69 and Tiffany are all original 'survivors' in near pristine condition. Got both for a song too. Just to let you know there are great cars still out there.

Bob,

Now THERE'S a REAL truck! cool.gif

(Not like these "fluffy four-wheel-drives" that pollute the highways! )

There's a family-run truck body company in Wilkes-Barre that has a 1919 Indiana in their shop, gathering dust since before I was born...

I love pictures of these pre-Depression dump trucks - especially the so-called "road-builder" models that had no cab, and no dump canopy over the driver...wonder how many drivers got "headaches" while being loaded... tongue.gif

Thanks Steve,

My mom is having some very severe problems with the cornea on her left eye in additon to rising pressures in that eye due to glaucoma. I have been going to doctor appts. with her and my dad to make sure they catch everything.

All the photos we currently have of the "Sprint" will have to be scanned in as they are not digial. frown.gif To get new ones I would have to go to the garage and the basement and take photos of all the "pieces" then we could have a contest to put the photos together to see the whole car. grin.gif

Frank,

Thanks for the tip on the 1919. That guy contacted me about 2 months ago acting like he wanted to sell the truck but thinks it is worth 25k! That truck might be worth half that if it were restored to better than new condition but I would love to have it in the condition it is in now and get it running. Maybe you can go tell him what it is realy worth and to call Bob back so I can go get it!

Bob
