Update my 48

Hi everyone, I'm brand new on this site. I have a 1948 Chevrolet 2dr. Fleetline Aerosedan. I have been working on this car for the past ten years off and on. Now that I am retired I can spend time and money to fix it up to be a daily driver. I love the car as original but I also want to be comfortable driving it. What is the best/most efficient (bolt in) IFS and rear suspension for this car? I am planing on using a 350 cid/350 turbo Tranny. What modifications will I have to make? or will they just bolt in? AL

I believe you will get a lot more answers from a street rod site than this one. This is a Buick group and for the most part, prefer stock ,original cars. I think that putting independet suspension under your Fleetline will be quite pricey. The Chevy V8 will fit ,but it is far from a bolt in,and will require new mounts frown.gif" border="0frown.gif" border="0<p>[ 04-13-2002: Message edited by: The Old Guy ]
