i'm hoping that someone can help me out here...
i have a 1973 4 dr buick lesabre 454 custom. it was given to me by my grandparents.
i am wondering if this car has any real value if i take the time and money to restore it to a "new" condition. of course it will have personal value, but i'm wondering if it is a good investment to restore this car or not. please help!

You said "454", but I would guess it is a 455, since 454 was a Chevrolet engine. I think the car would be worth restoring. These cars are becoming collector items to some people now. Unless the car is in really bad shape. Also, since it was your grandparents car, it will have an additional value. I wish I had my grandmothers old 1974 Pontiac Catalina 4dr sedan (same as Buick LeSabre). We was in a accident in it back in the mid 1980s, and then the was was not worth anything, so the engine was removed and the car was sent to the crusher. rolleyes.gif" border="0

I cannot find all of the sites I have for Buick parts, but here is a few that I know of. You may already know these, but here they are:
http://www.classicbuicks.com/
http://www.buickfarm.com/
http://www.buicks.net/
This site has a lot of parts cars: http://www.ctcautoranch.com/part_cars/index.shtml
I just found this site. I have not even checked it out yet, but a lot of demo-derby cars there, so maybe some parts here: http://www.derbygear.com/
Good luck. http://www.derbygear.com/

Don't forget about the Buick Club of America. There is significant (and growing)collector interest in the Buicks of the early '70's, and the BCA is a great resource for finding parts, literature, and technical assistance. Check out www.buickclub.org for a membership application.
With respect to restoration, you should consider your ultimate goal for the car. If your purpose in restoring it is simply to resell the car with hopes of making money on it, then you should realize that your probable selling price would not justify the cost of an expensive restoration. If your goal, however, is to restore, drive and show a beautiful old Buick, then go for it!
