I'm a new member to the forum, just acquired an '89 TC with the 8V TII engine and under 20K miles. Beautiful exotic red car, never had the hard top off until today. Just looking for one minor thing at the moment, the plastic handle for the fuel door release by the drivers seat. Anybody out there with a parts car have one to spare??

If you HAVE TO HAVE the little picture of the gas pump and the exact same shape on there then you will need the piece

from a TC if not, you can grab one from a Dodge Daytona. Similar shape and size but it is used

for the hatch release in the Daytona so the picture wont match. You need a jewler's screwdriver

or similar tool to slide under the handle and release the plastic tab that holds it on. Welcome to the

club, someday you can look back at the little plastic handle and remember it as your first little fix

on the car <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I have replicated and/or redesigned certain parts for the '88/'91 Buick Reattas, i.e, sun visor clips for the convertibles and have two models of the headlamp retract motor crank arm. One is a retro-fit of the OEM part where we CNC machine an insert out of a mild steel hexagonal bar - macine the old die cast arm out to receive the insert - a piece that is great for those folks who like original. Other model is my own design made of 1/4" mild steel with cold forming and CNC macining - it is less expensive and just the part for folks who just want the headdlamps to work properly and for a lifetime.

My point is - is there any part of the TC Maserati that is no longer available that owners might want replicated. I do not "do ordinary" so my prices may seem out of line but you get collector quality parts.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? In the meantime I am finding this model car most interesting - quite a vehicle!
